Would you like to become a Music Producer, Sound Engineer, M.C, or DJ? Are you passionate about Music? Are you keen to work with a group of students that are very keen to excel in the music industry? Look no further…

The Certificate II in Music Industry (Technology) will give you production knowledge and prepare you for work in the music industry and pathways to continue training at Certificate III level – Technical production.

OVERVIEW OF COURSE

Certificate II in Music Industry (Technology) is available for beginner to intermediate students.

 Sound – Develop skills in live sound engineering and studio recording, including recording bands and making film clips.

Composition – Develop skills in music creation (with a primary focus on electronic music composition). Learn how to use a range of industry standard software!

Events – Participate in a range of music events, developing skills in event management, electronic music performance, event lighting and sound production.

–        Option to choose an instrument to learn (Drums, Guitar / Bass, Keyboard & Singing).

–        All participants will be involved in recording, performance and film clip making

–        Work on group projects, with a focus on creating as many creative outcomes as possible!

–        No experience necessary but, students must have a strong interest in the music industry, be computer literate and they must be keen to work on an exciting, long term music project.

NB – This course is primarily a ‘music technology’ based course, designed to cater for students with no instrumental or notation knowledge. For part of this course, students will use p.c’s to create their own compositions.
